Making Money Online

by: Ben Johnson
"Earn a six figure income from your home online with hardly any work!" How many times have you come across a website or e-mail saying something like this? Chances are it happens a lot. Obviously it's not true, but we all wish it was. That doesn't mean that there's not money to be made online. The net is probably the best place to sell products.

With that in mind, all you need are products. The best part of it all is that you don't have to create the products. There are a number of wholesalers list online right now for free (don't pay for these) that can get you on your way to selling. You can even do what is known as dropshipping. That's when customers pay you for their orders and then you make the same order to the wholesaler at a discount. The wholesaler then ships the products. You never have to deal with the products directly. Tangible products aren't the only things you can sell either. Digital content is in high demand right now. This includes music, movies, pictures, software, ebooks and more. In fact I sell an original ebook of the best free adult sites from my website at: http://alladult.selectedsex.com

The idea was to combine the biggest industry online with an easy to deliver ebook while still giving the viewer relevant content. Another way to sell products is through ebay. Using ebay you don't need to have a website to sell. Always be careful though. Make sure to check user feedback and ask questions if your not sure. If your still uneasy use an escrow service. They will let you know if the other person's payment goes through before sending your product. These are just some ways to make money online. I can't guarantee it'll be easy and that you'll be making six figures, but if you have the determination to do the proper research you can make a descent living online. Good luck.

Ebay and Dropshipping, A Marriage Made In Heaven?

by: Ron Keegan
Believe it or not, eBay is the 'BEST' opportunity you can use
right now to make money online in the dropshipping business
from the comfort of your own home.

Thousands of people just like you use eBay auctions on a daily
basis to sell and buy products on the Internet; now it's your
time to START your own dropshipping home-based business
and succeed in the eBay auctions 'game'!

There are no special skills required for this dropshipping
business, all you need is a computer, Internet access and some
basic computer / Internet knowledge.

Dropshipping is when you sell products on the Web, forward
the orders to the dropship supplier and, in return, the
dropshipper ships the product to your customer (buyer).

You act as the middleman between the dropshipping supplier
and your buyer. You can take orders by credit card, PayPal
fax or any other method you can think of. You can sell via
your own Web Site, Yahoo store, or even through e-mails.

Your profit is generated on the difference between your selling
price and the price the dropshipping supplier charges you.

Thanks to dropshipping you can start making money 'instantly'
without any investment in inventory, warehousing, shipping,
equipment, employees or office space.

Having products drop shipped by suppliers, allows you to
concentrate on truly important aspects like advertising,
sales and promotion.

Pay attention! There are lots of companies claiming to be
'Drop Shippers'. However, a legitimate drop shipper is a
factory-authorized wholesale distributor, or sometimes the
actual manufacturer of the product. A legitimate drop shipper
should not charge you an 'account setup fee' or ask you to place
a 'minimum quantity order'.

Make sure you find legitimate drop shippers who have
the product(s) you want to sell, talk with them on the phone
or by e-mail and let them know that you are truly serious about
doing business with them.

Customer support counts in the dropshipping business, so don't
hesitate to contact dropshipping suppliers before you proceed
to work with them.

This will help you decide if you really want to do business
with a particular drop shipper or not.

To succeed in the dropshipping business you'll have to LOOK
for hard-to-find products that people desperately need and want
to purchase.

The key is to sell products with little or no competition.

Do some research for product's you want to sell
that you think will have little or no competition on eBay.

I suggest you RESEARCH for quality products & legitimate
dropship suppliers, MONITOR the eBay auction listings to see if
there's any competition and TEST the market (e.g. find out if
people really want to spend CASH on the product you want to
sell)

Remember! Dropshipping makes it EASY for you to start and
run your own home-based businesses on a shoestring budget;
and eBay is the 'perfect' MEDIUM to expose your product
to potential buyers all over the globe!

Probably the best piece of advice I will ever give you....

by: Richard Grady
Copyright 2005 Richard Grady

Let's face it, setting up a website business is pretty easy when you compare it to, say, opening a shop or restaurant or other 'offline' business. It doesn't cost a lot of money and if you are prepared to learn, you will probably be able to do most of the work yourself. Even if you prefer to hire people to do the work, you can do this very cheaply by using one of the many 'freelance' sites that exist exactly for this purpose.

With this in mind, probably the best piece of advice I will ever give you in relation to your Internet business is this:

'When you are making money with a website, keep your mouth shut!'

In other words, don't go telling everyone about your site and how much you are earning. Don't share this information with your 'friends' on the forums you visit each day, don't tell your friends in the offline world, don't tell anyone that you can't trust 100%.

Why?

Because the world is full of copycats - people that cannot come up with their own original ideas but who are happy to rip off other people's ideas for their own financial benefit.

Now of course, this happens in the offline world too but far more work and money is involved in opening a new restaurant just down the road from another similar business that is already doing well. Even if you could be bothered with the work and could afford to do it, you would still have to face your competitor every single day knowing that you have basically done something that could have had a huge impact on that person's income and the quality of life enjoyed by their family. Most people would not want to be in that situation.

Online this isn't the case. It costs next to nothing to throw up a new site and it is unlikely that you will ever have to face the competitor that you have ripped off.

This means that people do it all the time, so I repeat my comment above, if you have a business online that is making money, keep it to yourself.

Now of course, I am guilty of breaking my own rule in some respects - to the left of this sentence is an advertisement that states a monthly income which is available for everyone to read. This is because there are exceptions to the rule....

Part of my own income is generated from the Internet marketing industry and the competitiveness of this industry means that to have any chance of success, you must already have achieved a degree of success in other areas online. Often, the mark of success is the level of income your businesses are generating.

Here's the thing though, I own several online businesses that no one in the Internet marketing industry knows about and they generate just as much income for me as my 'public' businesses. Some of my closest friends don't know about these websites!

These sites quietly generate income and several are in completely untapped markets with little/no competition. If I were to reveal the markets, I would be flooded with competition in hours.

I am not alone - most successful Internet marketers keep their cards close to their chests - why wouldn't they? It is daft to start shouting about what is making you money as this simply tempts the copycats out and into the game. Making a success of any business is hard enough but to invite competition is crazy!

If at some point you decide you want to venture into the Internet marketing 'how to' industry then do as I have done and make a couple of your sites high profile but keep the big money earners a secret.

Which brings me to another point - a lot of people first try to make money online in the Internet marketing arena and this is a big mistake. This is an incredibly competitive area and there is just as much money to be made in other markets and most of the time it is, quite simply, a heck of a lot easier....

Think about it, in the Internet marketing industry you are usually pitching to other people that have a much higher awareness of sales techniques than 'normal' people. You are used to pop ups, autoresponders, newsletter lists, free ebooks etc and know that they are all designed to get you to spend money. Thing is though it works but how much better would it work in an industry where the customers don't have the same level of awareness? I can tell you - a LOT better :-)

Wake up Homer Simpson!

by: Gary Durkin
Wake Up Homer Simpson…..

An article by Gary Durkin
© Copyright 2004

It amazed me way back, and it still amazes me today. Just how many Homer Simpsons there are on the internet.

Don’t get me wrong, I love ‘The Simpsons’.
I’ve been responsible for a few ‘Homer-isms’ in my time, especially after I’ve had a few Duff Beers!

But nothing to the extent I have seen online (and off) over the years….. and I’ve seen a lot believe me.

Only today, I was with some friends and the conversation moved to ‘making money’ (as it does!). One of them announced that he had just invested in a fantastic scheme on the internet, which said he would make over $50,000 in next to no time, with a simple investment of just $250 – and he had absolutely nothing to do.

Some of you will be thinking, “Yeah, that’s sounds similar to the one I am with”…. Others will be thinking “IDIOT! Not possible”

For those who think it’s a good deal - you are HOMER SIMPSON.

For those who think it sounds like something you’re in – HOMER!!

For those who think he’s an idiot for getting involved – you’re Lisa Simpson.

The truth is, the internet holds no ‘magic bullets’. No secret ways of making a fortune, without doing anything or paying a dime.

If you think you CAN make a fortune, by doing nothing and spending nothing, then you really are Homer Simpson…... D’oh!

MTYH – “anyone can make a fortune online”
FACT – most people trying to make money, don’t. They get sucked in to silly schemes just like the one above, and get nowhere.

MYTH – “there are 500 Million people looking to buy online”
FACT – there are probably half a billion people with internet access, but they all don’t use it, they all certainly don’t want to buy things.

MYTH – “you don’t need to spend a dime to make money”
FACT – yes you do. Not necessarily tens of thousands of dollars,
but to be successful, you do need to spend even just a little.

MYTH – “once I’m in, I don’t do any work to make a fortune”
FACT – I can tell you for sure, that some of the biggest names around still spend upwards of 14 hours a day working to be successful online.

The truth sometimes hurts. You do need to work to earn. You do need to invest a little time and money to reap the rewards.

In the past, I’ve gone to the extreme of setting aside what I called ‘Idiot Money’. This was capital which I knew would be lost forever, and ventured into MLM programs, Pyramids, Gifting Schemes, Matrixes, and many others. I did this just to prove my point, there is no basis for anyone to say something doesn’t work, if they have never tried it themselves.

I’m sure not all the programs fail, or never deliver,
but MANY DO FAIL.

Here’s a little story to leave you with….. a true story…. Something I did a few years ago as a joke.
I ran an advert to a Safelist…. Like this:-

HOW not TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE IN A SECOND

This REVOLUTIONARY new program is changing the way the GURUS think about internet PROFITS

BE THE FIRST (I am) and make a FORTUNE.

A BRAND NEW 0x0 (zero by zero) reversing, infinite matrix Gifting Program with forced spill-over directly into my account, is GUARANTEED to make me a FORTUNE.

Simply gift to me $100 to my account, then sit back, relax and do absolutely nothing (that’s just what I do).

I am going to make a pile of cash the size of my house from this.

Note – your $100 gift to me will be gratefully received – thank you. The more people who gift money to me, the more profit I make.

For more information on giving me money, contact…. XXXXXX

So… what did you think? Do you think it sounds interesting and something you could join? If you did…. Pack up your computer and return it to the shop where you bought it from.

Most (hopefully) all you are laughing, thinking that the Ad was complete nonsense and no-one would ever fall for it.

WRONG. Even though it was worded clearly, even though it was absolute silliness, I still had TEN people contact me, asking where to send their $100

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!!

Well, it’s true. Needless to say I did NOT take their money, I explained it was a joke, worded in such a way to prove clearly it was a joke.

After some thought, each of them went away feeling very silly.

Not everything in life is as clear as that. Not everything is what it seems.

Don’t get sucked into silly claims that fly around the Internet.

Think first……. Then think again.

9 Great Reasons To Help An Internet Marketing Newbie

by: Jeff Schuman
""
Written By Jeff Schuman © 2004
http://www.Team-Schuman.com

Zig Ziglar, the famous self help guru, was once quoted as
saying "You can get everything you want in life if you help
enough people get everything they want in life."

Nowhere is this more true than on the internet and internet marketing.
I remember when I first started looking into making money
on the internet. What an overwhelming feeling. The internet
is a big....big...big...world.

When you first get you started you are considered a "Newbie."
A newbie is an affectionate term given to someone who is
new to the internet and all of the geek speak that comes
with trying to figure out how to use it.

Do your remember when you first ventured out in the
online business world? You probably had questions
and problems along the way. Wouldn't it have been
easier if you had help? When a newbie asks for your
advice, educate them; answer their questions and help
them solve their online business problems. If you do
not have the knowledge to help them out, point them
in the right direction.

I have found forums as a great way to get information
myself as I need it as well as a great place to help
people who have particular questions.

Another great place to get help and to help others is Joe
Robson's "The Newbie Club." The Newbie Club contains free
computer and internet technical problem solving, plus free
tutorials, free eBooks, free courses, free guestbooks, free
autoresponders, free help and advice, a free newsletter,
free affiliate program and a free membership.
http://www.team-schuman.com/newbie

When you help out a newbie you'll personally
get many benefits as well. Here are 9 great reasons
to help out a "Newbie" make money online today.

1. You will have a great feeling knowing you had
a part in their success.

2. You could end up being business partners
in the future. You could regularly do joint venture
and cross promotion deals with each other.

3. They may join an affiliate program or mlm business
with you and help you build your business. There are many
2 tier affiliate programs and mlm businesses today that
pay you a handsome commission to teach people how
to promote their products online.

4. They could help you develop a new product or service
or help you get an exsisting project off the ground.

5. They may become one of your best friends. Most
people can use new friends, even business owners.
You never know when you will run across someone
online that you enjoy working with and talking to.

6. They may help you out with your business. Maybe
they will give you some testimonials or endorsements
for your products or services.

7. They might offer you some free advertising space
on their web site or in their e-zine for your help. You
could also exchange advertising with them.

8. They may become one of your best customers
today as well as purchase back end products from
you in the future.

9. You could exchange links with them and build
your link popularity, ultimately increasing traffic
to your own website

There are many other benefits you could get
from helping a new online business owner. Always
remember to help them out because it's the nice thing
to do and not just to benefit your own business.

The Power Of Thinking Small Online.

by: Patric Chan
Copyright 2004 Patric Chan

I know what you're thinking.

There must be a typo error, because everyone's
talking about the power of thinking big online.

Obviously, thinking big is good. But do not
under estimate the power of thinking small.

Here's what I mean:

If you want to make $100,000.00 in a year online,
is it easier to achieve it from one source of
income, or 10 online source of incomes that can
give you $10,000.00 each a year?

The answer? Both are correct. But I'd rather take
the second choice by thinking 'small' of creating
10 income streams from the internet to achieve that.

My justification?

It's easier for me to create an income stream that
can generate $10,000.00 a year online for me than
thinking 'big' to create ONE income stream that
generates $100,000.00.

If I can create ONE income stream easily, what's
stopping me from creating another 9 similar income
streams from the internet to make $100,000.00 a year?

You might disagree with me because you probably
say that staying focused on one income stream is
easier. That's fair and I absolutely agree.

But, I'll still choose to create 10 income streams
because my risk of failure is 10 times less.

Assuming I choose the first choice to make
$100,000.00 using ONE income stream.

What happens if I fail? Simple. I lose everything
in that one year.

But if I create 10 income streams, I can afford to
fail as much as 50% of my income streams and yet,
I'll achieve 50% of success. Sounds ironic, yes?

Don't get it wrong. I'm not preaching to be negative
of preparing to fail, but I'm preaching reality on how
to minimize risk to be successful.

Taking small steps is always easier than taking
big steps.

That's why, when I wrote my book for self
improvement, 'How To Make More Money Easily',
it's about thinking small, not thinking big.

It's not for those who want to m.ake millions.

It's about how ordinary people are able to make
an extra income each month easily. If they can make
some extra money from one strategy I teach in my
ebook, they can easily create 5 more income streams.

You can see it at:

http://www.makemoremoneylessons.com

After reading this article, please continue to think BIG.

BUT, don't forget to think small as well when you
want to achieve success.

All the best.

To your success,

Patric 'High-Speed Marketing' Chan.

..::The Top three reasons people Fail online!::..

by: Dennis Cheesman
Most people come online with the thoughts of getting rich
quick...And then fall flat on their faces! They get the get rich
quick virus, it's quite contagious and extremely deadly to your
self esteem and your business!

You need to get rid of that virus by implementing, knowledge,
hard work and the right mindset, learn from other people's
mistakes and understand why they have failed online, so that you
can avoid making the same mistakes, when you do make a mistake,
shake it off and get on with your life, take that mistake and
turn it into knowledge.

Here are the top three reasons why most people fail online:

1) Don't have the money to start, or don't want to spend it!.

You have to think that starting a online business is the same as
starting an offline business, when you start an offline business,
there are certain things that you have to be willing to pay for
if you want your business to succeed.

And the same thing goes for your online business, and if you're
not willing to spend the money on these things then your business
will go nowhere!

A list of what you need is:
A great web-host (this is the lifeline of your business)

A good follow up system (autoresponders)

Knowledge (if you have to buy into a membership or course to
learn what it takes to build your business then do it)

You have to spend some money on advertising..(eZine advertising,
Pay-Per-Click or whatever)
(Just make sure you do your reasearch on what your fixing to join
or purchase!)

2) They give up before it get's going!

This happens all the time, people come on line with the hopes of
getting rich, they join one scheme after another thinking this
one is going to make me rich, as soon as they receive another
email scheme, they jump on it..

This keeps going for awhile, untill they get so frustrated that
they just give up and say it's impossible to make money online!
One of the reasons is that most people lack persistence and the
ability to hang in there when the going gets tough. If you lack
persistence, you will have a tough time making it online! ("If
you do make it")

Here is a list of ways to help give your business a boost!
Do joint ventures with other marketers to grow your business.

Join forums, offer your help to people, get joint venture
partners(just don't spam the boards)

Follow the steps of someone who is already successful online!

Don't be afraid to make a mistake online, we've all made
mistakes, and will continue to, just make sure you learn from
them..

Start an affiliate program!

Make sure you collect the names of your visitors and follow up
with them..

3) Lack of knowledge -

Knowledge is power, if you want to make it online you have to
learn all you can! And put what you know into action, use your
knowledge, don't just let it set up there and collect brain dust,
anyone can learn if they really want to, you just have to have
the will, and the strive!

You will always be learning, there is always someone out there
that can teach you something or ignite and ol' flame that you let
burn down.. all I can say is..learn, learn, learn!

If you stay persistant, learn all you can, and stay focused, you
can do anything and become anything..Want to be a guru? then do
what the gurus did...Work for it, give it all you got and learn
all you can and NEVER EVER give up!!
